Alterna[rra]tive
First a disclaimer.
I am not an herbalist, nor am I a naturopath. The information I will share here is based only on my own experiences... but I am a Ph.D. scientist, and I've had a wide range of experiences, and I'm lucky to have come through some of them alive.
I didn't always receive a great deal of help from conventional healthcare sources.
In those circumstances, I ended up doing what I could to help myself.
Sometimes it worked... and those are the stories I want to share here. Because what helped me might help others.
If you find yourself in serious straits, do not take anything here as sole source information. I will provide links to the sources that were helpful to me, but you should always consult knowledgeable professionals before taking any action.
Also, very importantly, beware of self-diagnosis. I personally know of a case where a man thought he had an ulcer, when he actually had a ruptured appendix. By the grace of God, he lived to tell the tale; but he nearly didn't come through it alive.
Self-diagnosis is dangerous. Consult a qualified professional... be certain you know what you are dealing with, before you attempt to deal with any aspects of it on your own.
With these very serious points of advice given, and, I hope, taken,
welcome to the AlterNarraTive world of HerBLog.
